Emigrants

A series of photos based on the idea of traveling in a box. It is an abstract way of traveling to a more promising location. These people are trying to cross the borders of the Western World in order to get political or social recognition. What we see are variations of box travelers. All of them carry enough supply to survive for several weeks. We see them halfway the trip, patiently waiting to reach their destination.

Although what we see is fiction, in reality there are people who have to travel under these circumstances in order to enter a safe country or continent.

Kodak EPP 120, Mamiya 645, Metz 45, some cheap flashlights and countless tungstens.
